FAQS

Q: How old do you need to be to play paintball?

DMZ Paintball is restricted to players 10 years old and up. Players between the ages of 10 to 18 will require a waiver signed by a parent or guardian before being allowed to play paintball.

Q: How old do you need to be to play airsoft?

Just like in our paintball games, DMZ Paintball is restricted to players 10 years old and up. Players between the ages of 10 to 18 will require a waiver signed by a parent or guardian before being allowed to play paintball.

Q: Does paintball hurt?

A: Most people say that paintball doesn't hurt too much; it usually feels like a firm flick. But this will depend on how fast the ball is going, the distance it travels and where on the body it hits you. Paintball injuries won't be too extensive, but you should expect a few minor bruises and bumps after paintballing. At DMZ, We recommend all players wear some form of long-sleeved shirts and long pants. During our Birthday Party Safety briefing, we let players know about this and make sure everyone is ready to have a fun game!

Q: Can we book all year round?

A: Yes! DMZ Birthday Packages can be scheduled all year long, even in the winter! It’s a fun outdoor activity that all kids will remember!

Q: Is there a space for pizza/birthday cake?

A: YES! We have picnic tables available for all bookings.

Q: What is the difference between paintball and airsoft?

The biggest difference between paintball and airsoft is the equipment used.  Paintball uses paintball guns that shoot paintballs, whereas airsoft uses electric BB guns that shoot 6mm BBs.  Both games use the same playing field at our facilities, and require the same safety equipment (goggles that cover the entire face).

Q: What are the safety guidelines at the field?

All players receive a safety briefing before games are played.  Safety is the number one focus at our facility.  All games are supervised by experienced referees who both control the games, and are constantly monitoring for safety.

Q: Do parents have to stay during a walk-on or private booking?

Parents are not required to stay at the facility once their kids have been signed in.

Q: Do I need to bring my own gear (mask, gun, etc.?)

Players are welcome to bring their own equipment.  Player owned guns will be chronographed for safety to check velocity.  We also rent out all equipment needed for both paintball and airsoft.

QCan I bring my own paint or BBs to the field?

Paintballs - field purchased paintballs only

BBs - BBs are sold at the field, but you can bring your own provided they are Bio-BBs.  Plastic BBs are not allowed.

Q: It’s my first time. What should I wear?

Firstly, dress for the weather.  Long pants and long sleeves are recommended, along with hiking boots.  Dress in layers, since players tend to heat up once you start running around and playing.

Q: Do I need to fill out my son/daughter’s waiver at the field or can I do it online?

You can download the waiver off of our website and fill it out ahead of time, or you can fill it out at the field

Q: What if I book a private game and need to cancel:

Game cancellation must be performed at a minimum of 24 hours notice before a designated game start. Either a phone message or speaking to a representative of DMZ will suffice for cancellation. Those who do not supply 24 hours notice to cancel will be subjected to a cancellation fee to the credit card on file with their booking. The cancellation fee will be *half* the total value for the number of players booked. For example, a game booked in for 10 players totaling a $500 value will be subject to a $100 charge for a cancellation fee. In this case, cancellation fees are proportional to the player count in a booking with larger bookings incurring larger cancellation fees.  When an individual/group schedules a booking with us they are informed of this policy & consent.
